What we collect
A random device id created on first launch (no name, phone number or account), and your location only during a ride, after you tap “I'm riding” and confirm.
When location is collected
Opening the app doesn't share your location, and granting the permission doesn't either. Sharing starts after you confirm “Yes, I'm riding” and stops when you end the ride.
What it is used for
To work out your next station and the approximate position of the bus on the line. Others see a bus on the line, never a rider's location.
How long we keep it
Raw location points are not stored. A ride summary is kept with station numbers only, no coordinates, linked to a hashed device id.
Who sees data
We don't sell data. We use Mixpanel for usage statistics and Sentry for app errors; no coordinates are sent to either.
How to stop
Tap “End ride” at any time. You can also remove the location permission in your phone's settings.
